January is a pretty cool month in my opinion, both literally in most of the country and figuratively. It is the beginning of a new year, which prompts many to make resolutions or renew good habits. Maybe you opt for a word of the year or a mantra to make this the best year yet. For me and this blog, it is our birthday month! Happy Birthday!
Happy birthday to me!
Y’all, I am 42 years old. How did that happen? 41 has been a mixed bag for sure, but more of the good stuff than the bad stuff as I reflect on these last 365 days.
This past year has seen me take some much needed time for myself, really we all do need to do it on occasion. It does the soul and mind well and helps you to see the BIG picture. I traveled to Florida and New Jersey to spend some time with some inspiring, funny, and fabulous women.
There were storm clouds as well, a wicked bout of depression and other personal stuff that made being a good parent hard sometimes. Those moments it is always nice to reflect on all the kind things that my friends and family told me. I would dig deep and remember those “atta-girl” moments. Don’t let that negative self-talk derail the train.
I moved with my family to Indianapolis, IN, opening up the opportunity to a new chapter in my story. And a lot of new and amazing state parks for us to explore!
Beyond the blog, I also launched a brand new business as well! Learn More Together, it is a course management platform. It is a knowledge base and collection of course creators’ expertise, skill sets, and best practices for a wide array of ideas, concepts, and skills. If you want to learn more about it drop me a line!
Happy birthday to The Busy Llama!
In the past year, I have published 35 new blog posts, brought over 26 posts from my last blog, wrote two notes on Facebook, and made lots of little musings here, there, and everywhere.
We have been on adventures near and far, seen plenty of farms and farm animals, and possibly smelled just a little bit farm-animal-like during our camping trip.

What’s next?
I am going to keep reading books, reviewing business tools and courses, and finding women that are living the #dowhatyoulove life.
I will keep rocking the solo-parent life as best as I can while trying to help cultivate an amazing, wonderful daughter. She is pretty dang awesome, if I may say so. I can, right, even though I am super biased. 😉
Until the next post, keep doing what you love and love what you are doing! I know I am. <3
